My friend in Spain just sent me 10 INCREDIBLE trance CDs. Several which are trance radio station broadcasts.

It is a complete and utter shame this country can't play music like this. Of course....most here like this slow and annoying hipity not so hippy hip hop  When I was in Germany, it was like being in Heaven. Good food, fast cars, fast music. Why can't we have any of that here?

We got disgustingly slow speed limits, no trance music, and foods with more chemicals than a chemical warfare storage warehouse. I tasted Europe and loved it. But I don't want to leave the US. So.........who's with me for some drastic changes!!!!!!!!!!!!! :mwdance: :dninja2:

All we need to do are:
Eliminate hip hop
Incorporate Trance as the standard
Every state must agree on one driver's license system: Charge $500 and train people to drive
After people realize driving is a privilage and not a right, then we raise our speeding limits outside of city limits.
Food...ehh...just look for good restaurants and natural food stores I suppose :D

Is this SO hard to do? NO!! Good lets do it!!!

Bleh trance is crap. You should check out drum and bass. I'm glad I don't have a fast car because some of my mixes do make me drive faster. Standard dnb tempo is usually 170 or 180 bpm. Arpeggios in trance make you think the music is faster than it really is.

www.breakbeat.co.uk is all you need to get you started ;)

Driving fast solution: Move to area where speed limits are higher, such as a remote area. Apparently Nevada has a speed limit of 90 mph on some highways.

Hip hop solution: Don't listen to it. Honestly, every genre has a good side, but of course commercial crap is attempting to be catchy and is usually mindless.
Everybody has their own tastes.

Food solution: Stop eating at Mcdonalds. Health foods stores are popping up everywhere, but if you are looking for healthy fast food, then you looking for a needle in a haystack and the closest you will get to that is in-n-out, which it still not really cutting it.

No one follows speed limits anyways, what's the point.

Chemicals taste good...

The point is to do 180mph and not worry about going to jail..........

I started posting last night, but it rambled out of control and got huge, so I scratched it lol.

I can only agree Flybye. When you see some countries with their schizer together, its pretty hard to swallow whats being served at home sometimes.

I'm no commy, I honestly believe in democracy and capitalism. But countries like ours have blurred the line. Big corporate $$ are allowed to influence the direction of our leadership, and its never in our favor. We lack clear checks and balances that keep big business from taking us by the throats and squeezing us for all they are worth.

If you look at Germany for example. the subtle differences in campaign funding laws and regulations simply rule out the complicity we see in our governments.

A while ago, the German gov passed legislation to charge companies for the recycling costs of each and every package they sold. This simply made easily recycleable packaging more affordable to German industry... and it was as simple as that. Prices did not go up on the shelves, as companies strove to remain compeditive.

We cannot have fast highways here, because look at the POS people are driving around in... GM and Ford have been sheltered from any sort of real competition by our countries imposing stiff import taxes on "luxury" vehicles..
LOL Sif a 3 series bimmer is considered luxury in Germany...

We cannot have good food because big business is very busy kicking our farmers in the nuts. Then radiating food so its clinically dead and has a double shelf life. Recent studies show there is now more nutritional content in canned tomatoes, than the "Fresh" 3 week old radiated ones in the supermarket "Fresh" produce section.

You know, I have always marvelled and wondered about the way the loosers of WW2 grew to be the clear Giants of the modern commercial world. Whilst us glorious victors.. have rolled from one financial crisis to the next, and basically buy anything of true quality from those guys.

You know the city of Nagano in Japan, where a recent winter olympics was held... has a Zero crimerate... Thats city... crime rate.. zero. They have bikeracks in the town squares that house hundreds of bikes, none locked, brand new suspension mountain bikes next to rusty old things.. nobody ever takes the wrong one home....

We could do to raise the bar a bit I dare say.
I shutup now. :|

P.S. Trance Rulez ok :P

We would have a lower crime rate here if we had that many Japanese girls to keep us busy.:D

Germany has a 16% VAT, which is added to all items sold. Domestic and Foreign. Thus, an overall higher sales tax, but I am not willing to double my Los Angeles County (8.25%) tax over the ability to get cheaper BMWs. Not sure what you are thinking, but for the sake of your ability to work in the United States you may want to buy domestically. Levi's closed shop, Ford is closing shop... where are you going to work? Maybe soon enough all the jobs will be in Germany (and elsewhere) then you can move there and be happily ever after.

Honestly I hate Corporate America, but I am being d.Advocate. There is another side to it.

Oh you mean such minor little things such as health insurnace for EVERY citizen?

I've head ready pages and pages of their tax system, and taxes can even reach almost 50% of your income. To this day, nothing compares to the experience I had in Germany. The closest thing I can think of is when I lived in the country side of New Jersey. The farmlands, the hills, the mountains, the old structures, the smooth highways, etc.

I'll pay 50% of my salary to get the living they have. I start to wonder if leaving Deutsche Bank was a smart move as I could have almost converted my 6 figure US salary to a 6 figure euro/sterling (or 8 figure yen? lol). I really wanted to transfer to germany. Frankfurt is where I would have been headed even tho munich is where I wanted to be. Smack in the middle of europe. Easy weekend trip to see family in slovakia. The bahns help big time ;) even austria has some fairly high speed roadways now.

As for 50% tax. I almost pay that now!!. That doesnt include my medical, dental, or their deductables.. It doesnt cover the $6 to cross the GWB or the $4.50 for the Triboro. The $1000 a year I pay for basic liability on a crap 1990 accord doesn't protect me against uninsured idiots who can barely control their vehicle nevermind the rain or snow we see here.

We need the german driving system here!!! Your basic driving course there is like going to Skip Barber for a week here! I bet its even better. To get a license in NY it should cost $5000. It should come with a week of Skip Barber too. That should dramatically lower insurance rates and make the roads safer. It should only be offered in ENGLISH. It makes me sick they offer a spanish version of the form when road signs are only in ENGLISH. Plates and registration should be issued (and revoked) by your insurance carrier. If they have enough adjusters sneaking around to assess claims and vehicle usage before they actually meet with you, they should be able to remove your tags when you fail to pay. I dunno about where you guys live, but in the nyc area there are way too many unlicensed drivers and uninsured vehicles and far too many tricks and loopholes to get around things.

I think the equation is backwards.

Its funny how everyone always thinks the grass is greener on the other side of the fence :D ... In the end I think we all get screwed by government and want to go live elsewhere.

It does my head in when the USA pay a lot less for petrol\gas computer parts, CD\DVD's etc etc etc but then again they have to pay a fortune for health Insurance where ours is free-ish ...

I know the answer to all this but need to find a way to make it work and that is ... I want my regular income as it is paid in pounds sterling but to live in a country where that weekly income is the yearly average of that country :D .... One can live like a king then ;)

Yeah.. when I worked for a euro bank, the people coming from london had it made... in addition to the 5k sterling you get to set yourself up.. other than that your sterling salary carries over and you barely feel the cost of insurance after that re-lo bonus. I shoulda xferred over to uk to get the boost and then come back :(

it's pretty clear that dance music is coming back around the world -- just check the recent big American hip-hop and R&B hits which are clear rip-offs of the european dance style.....

here's the direct iTunes link to the "Euro Club Hits" series.....
