There doesn't seem to be too much information out yet about UT2003 Demo. Ill share some things ive picked up, and hopefully you guys will as well and we can figgure this thing out better :)

Double-Jumping - If you hit jump button and hit it again right afterwards, you will actually do a second jump midair. This is great for getting up steep inclines or making long jumps. Timing is important and you can really fly if you time it right.

Triple-Jumping - I cant confirm this, but if your running at full pace and and a quick double-jump, and hit the jump a third time after that, you seem to do a triple jump. You actually make a third different noise and go farther, but im not sure if its a triple jump or just a second double jump.

Adrenaline Boost - If your adrenaline meter reaches 100, you can tap Down key three times quickly, you will get Booster. This starts filling your health meter and keeps filling it to 200 until you run out of Adrenaline points. You will see little Pluses around your body as your recharing.

Adrenaline Speed - If you tap Up quickly three times, you get Speed. You run much much faster until the booster runs out. I *think* you shoot faster but I cant confirm this yet.

Ive tried left left left and right right right but they dont seem to do anything. Maybe i did it wrong.

Combos - The old shock rifle combo works, but is still hard. It looks amazing though. I cant find any other combo moves tho.

With the up,up,up combo your shot is faster and more powerful.

Side combos are L,L,R,R and R,R,L,L

You got the invisible off at least once.

I heard the elevator and went lookin and walked into a invisible s*it storm. Didn't see you till I was dead. :D

Theres something called Beserk but i dont know how to activate it yet.

:: Charge up the primary fire mode of the shield gun, look towards the floor and release. After the kickback, jump again to pull off the shield jump ::

Good games guys, can't wait for the official version with more maps...Oh BTW I figured out my Vid problem, it seems that all form of AA need to be turned off or there is a severe pixel tear. All worked out now.

Look like we will be havin a UT2003 clan huh:D

Took my cube apart now feh...gonna make it hard to play till i get a replacment :)

Hehe SleepO you were one of the better players what you talkin about ;) Take it easy on ME! ;)

I took the cube apart because TheDude offered me a good amount of dough for my modded KX7. It was enough to buy a new KD7...so. I went for it. Im also selling my pumps to a couple people as well, so I can get larger ones. Also getting a new Athlon 2600+ or 2800+ and some Corsair PC3200A ram. But, i loose the cube for another month blah.

Luckily, I think it runs on the laptop so i might still beable to play. It has a few visual problems with 7500 though.

The little rocket combo is still around too btw. If you hold second fire (to charge up rockets), and then hold primary fire at the same time, you will fire a spread of rockets, but instead of spreading wider apart, they all cluster together and hit one target.

While your doing that or a standard rocket spread, as your holding down the button, you can target someone specifically, youll hear a small beep and see a red cursor flash around your target, sort of like Missle Lock. I am not sure if the rockets actuall home in on anything, I cant really see them changing direction or anything, then again im usually not watching ;) It does something though, just dont know what ;)

I think I mentioned the shock rifle combo already. There is supposed to be a flak cannon combo but dont know it. I keep getting called Flak Monkey though :) That and Head Hunter when I go to use the rail gun, definately my worst weapon. I miss the old shock rifle. Used to be able to combo that. Took some skill, but if you mastered it, it was better than the rocket launcher. Its too slow now. The old rocket launcher was more fun as well. 6 rockets are better than 3. I do like the new bio gun, it still sucks but its better than before, and you can hold the large blob without firing. I definately hope that Adrenaline will be adjustable at the server level in the full game. It just seems to slow. I think it would be more interesting if you got the rush every 50 pills instead of 100. Or make them worth 5 a piece instead of 3.

What I like most about this game is what to come. The full version is supposed to have much better textures than the demo, so it should look even more amazing (i thuoght it looked pretty good already!) Then of couse better sound, more levels, more players. Definately awesome.

I've been playing quite a bit and so far it's only crashed once. Right in the beginging I had a problem with the server list not working but that might have been me not waiting long enough ;)

I'm running a KX7-R with a 2000+ (main box in sig) with a PNY 4200 310/630 800x600 (only have a 15") and I'm seeing anywhere from 70-120fps avg depending on where in the level I'm at. Other than an artifact that poped in once it's been clean.

I think the game is a blast and will be getting it when it comes out. :)

There are some glitches with my Radeon 7500, but nothing major. I just got the new patch tonight and it should address any glitches that exist. I will also be buying this game as soon as it is released.

The server list has been flakey because the master server has had some bugs, but they have been corrected by now.

I REALLY dont like the fact that you cant enter specific IP addresses in the game. Or maybe I dont know how?

On my P4 2.0g laptop at full graphic resolution with the 7500 mobility overclocked 300gpu/192ram I get 30-40FPS average at 800x600x32b.

However, the demo textures are only medium res, and the full game will look much better.

I've been playing it also for quite a bit. I've had it crash once on system 1 in my sig and every time i try playin it in 2. YOU MUST have a decent video card for this game. From reading the readme.txt file it states that the game relys specifically on the speed of the graphics card.

I will also be buying this game once it comes out. As for FPS i don't know. I've been having some o/s troubles, anytimes my systems automaitcally restarts i must reinstall windows, as i am doin now. Once i get it runnnin agian look for another post.

I did the XP services tweak i posted about in the Seti forum. It gave me a full 10fps faster speeds on the laptop, now average 40-50FPS at 800x600 and no more drops below 35 (even with lots of lighting on the screen).

Havent checked my new 3dmark scores yet. But my UT game has improved a bit ;)

"Oh yeah, I probably should have pointed this out before, but benchmark.exe in the UT2003/system/ folder is useless for testing the differences between sound options as it runs the game with its own visual detail and sound settings hence it will yield no difference whatever you manually set the options to in the game.

This may explain why some of you kept getting the same results no matter what you tried because it was just being ignored. I doubt that any sound card can run 2 different sound detail options at equal speed (well not yet anyway).

Anyway, to actually benchmark the changes:
1) Set the game up as desired to benchmark whichever aspect
2) Exit the game
3) Go into the UT2003Demo/benchmark folder
4) Erase the benchmark log files that are there if they are there so as to avoid confusion of results (these should be text files - DO NOT ERASE THE BAT FILES!!!!!)
5) Run one of the BAT script files and that will do a timed run through the demo and record the results (I ran botmatch-antalus and botmatch-anubis.)
6) In the text file created called 'lowframerate.txt' will be the fps results for whatever settings you set for the game."

Found then on anand's where i was checking out the benchmarks.
I have a complaint : Why did he execute the flyby benchmarks and not the botmatch which are much more closer to reality ?

Good info Therion. The problem is...the UT demo doesnt have the high quality textures, so trying to benchmark it with higher quality settings is quite moot.

Yes, flyby demo seems quite unrealistic to me as well.
