We've got some really sarcastic error messages on our computers at work. If you're putting in a patient's date of birth and don't use 4 digits for the year it says:

Born: 1947

Admission: 1906

Doesn't add up does it?

I hate that message but sometimes make the mistake, especially at 4am on a busy shift. That just flicks a switch in me and I flip out. I think there are some really bored programmers out there that do this just for kicks!

If you forget to put the appropriate letter into a box to record the sex of the patient, a pop-up says, "come on now, it can't be that hard can it?"
