Downloading files

Damn! I don't know what I did, but now I cannot download any files... I know it not my router cause my other puter has no problem downloading! I have no problem surfing, fast as can be but when I want to download a file it says that Internet Explorer cannot open this file try again later or something like that..

This is just a shot in the dark, but try going into Explorer>Tools>Internet Options>Advanced and load the default settings again. I'm sure you tried this already, but it's all I can think of right now.

Try enabling PASV mode. Also in IE settings.

Tried what you said mike already, thanks though and player what is the pasv mode? and where in the options is it? I still cannot get this thing to work,

IT KEEPS SAYIN THAT INTERNET EXPLORER CANNOT OPEN THIS SITE..

IE->Internet Options->Advanced->

then check off Use Passive FTP (PASV Mode).

Or uncheck it if its already on :)

Dunno. Try a download manager like GetRight.

Hi,
Have you a firewall installed? and have you made any changes to it.......I had mine set to high and I could not open a page to download any progs....I think it had something to do with cookies
