I have files there from 1996. LOL
Was browsing some old documents and couldn't believe it.

I think the funniest thing I found was Winmark scores of my Pentium Pro running at 233mhz :)

I have porn from 1994 :D Compuserve baby.

Um, anything older is on a floppy so doesn't count.

Oh, wait. Well. I have atari disk images that are from the 80s on my HD. Depends on how you want to classify 'old'.

oldest one(s) i found that were not compressed in a zipped file was november 1985.
prolly a bios firmware upgrade for a 386 or 486 given the year.

Like Tom I have porn from many moons ago on my system LOL

Since I build a new system every few years there's not much chance of really old files bein on it ... except for the aforementioned porn :D

heep in mind, i have\run 28 harddrives in total in 10 machines and about 8 more on the shelf from days gone bye.
you dont want me to plug them in, i might find older files from my 2\3\486 days.
well maybe not 286 since the OS was booted off a floppy.

somewhere i have a quantum bigfoot that is 12 Mb in size from the factory yes Megabytes with "less than 12% unusable sectors" it claims on the label.

aah, those were the days:)

my first PC had a CPU like this one, its the chip on top:)

LOL The oldest harddrive I have lying around is a Cheetah 4gb.
But I've seen the 10mb monsters and they were huge.

I have some vintage kit here. Original IBM 4.77Mhz monster PC. I was able to have a game of spaceinvaders in stunning RGB colour only a couple of months ago on it. I didn't note any file dates, but I don't think 1984 is unrealistic. I seem to remember it being purchased in 82. I will see if I can fire it up again and check.
