DCS 4.1 Progress Update

Hi all,

For anyone who pays attention, I still haven't released the next version of DCS. I know I promised a lot of new features, but it's going to take some time until I can release the new version. Due to the increased popularity of DCS, its taking 3.5 hours to process F@H stats every 4 hours, and it's getting worse. So my top priority now is speeding up the processor so I can continue to process as often.

Unfortunately, this means a complete rewrite of all the database structures, the addition of many tables, and revising all the code with the new db class. In other words, it's gonna take a lot of work and time to fix the speed issues, so it may be a while before I can get to any other changes.

I really don't think you need to say sorry. I think you should offer a premium access to the service to help cover some expenses.

The expenses are more expensive than I can possibly receive back unfortunately. Maybe once the user base grows more there will be enough willing participants to help spur the project on.

There IS one for SETI, though its a bit ancient. I dont even know if it works.

I hope to add support for all sorts of DC projects, but it really depends on whos interested.
