HL server issues

How come I can't get any servers to show up in Half-life multiplayer? I can connect, It says downloading information, It flashes for a second and I see a server list, then it get's serverinfo, and when that's all said and done (2-5 min later) I'm greeted with a black server list. :confused:

WTF?

It happens with all H-L based games and I can connect with SOF2, MOH:AA, and JKII fine. Hints??

If you are going to be playing Half-Life multiplayer on the same machine that you are running server on, make sure you not using the same port for both. Run the Half-Life client with -port 27016 (or any other port not in use) in the target line of the shortcut.

I'm not running an internal HL server. I'm trying to hit a outside one but the list keeps comming up blank.
