Hey all
Just thought I should keep you updated as I havent really been around for a couple of weeks..
Those of you in the UK may remember seeing on the news last friday/saturday (17th feb) about a guy being convicted of murdering a Bar Doorman and a Policeman - the killings happened in 1993.. Well, the policeman was a member of my family and so I was down at Belmarsh Prison/Woolwich Crown Court attending the last week of the trial. Probably THE most stressful week of my life, but we got a good result for both families. The man was convicted, and was sentenced to serve a minimum of 35 years, with the Home Secretary considering making it a 'rest of natural life' tariff.
Here's a couple of links incase people are interested:

Its not the nicest situation to have been in, and it was very weird to hear the jury come back with the verdict - realising that something lasting 12 1/2 years of my life was coming to an end in the space of 3 sentences. This guy was a very dangerous person. We were all placed under full armed protection at all times during the trial, and some people involved still are in protection programs - and may be for years.
Anyway - just wanted to let you guys know, but also publicly thank the detectives and police for keeping at it and getting the person who was guilty bought to justice.
But anyway - im now back, and hopefully life should become a bit more 'normal' now! :)
