There is a power plug right next to, and parallel with, the main PCIxE slot. Anyone know if I need to plug power into it? The reason I ask is because I was loading HL2 and it came back and said that my video card wasn't getting enough power and it would need to turn off some functions. What ever that means.... HL2 is playing fine though ( better than fine :worship: )

you mean the molex on the left near the floppy connector?

if so then yes most definatly and the 4 plug square one on the right next to the cpu.

The MB that I have is the "ASUS A8N-SLI Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI"

See the blue PCIxE slot? It's the molex connector right next to it.

(good god it's late) :2guns:

Plug it in. That is to help supply more stable power to various parts of the mother board. The DFI board has that one, plus one more.

Great! thanks! The install guide from ASUS doesn't say anything about it, maybe I'll have to look again.

Well i'm off to Fry's to pick up a couple odds and ends..... Aren't new systems fun? :)
