*this is not spam just wanted to see if anyone else has tried this out*

Was browsing around and saw Peerflix (http://www.peerflix.com/), I instantly thought netflix knock-off but actually read into it and liked the idea. Basically you put up a list of movies you own and send them out, (they send you these envelopes and everything too). For every movie you send out you get points that go towards other DVDs you can get off the service sent to you from peers, the catch is each one you receive is .99 cents. I did some math and this is cheaper than netflx by a small margin and you can keep the DVDs you get through it if you really like them - this is not renting, you actually own them. (But I will most likely just recycle them back into the system because my collection isn't that large)

You dont even need a CC to get started, I signed up for kicks about a week ago and got the starter kit in the mail today and am sending out Animatrix tommorrow. (Got a free copy of million dollar baby too)

I always thought something like that should be started for Music as well. Then the RIAA wouldn't have much to say if you were buying albums for .99, instead of DL them.

there is a peer based service that does exactly that but I can't recall the name at all though, will find it eventually.
