Hypotheticly speaking, if LiquidNinjas cost to run FAR outweighed the donations coming in, how much and would you pay to subscribe to LN for all benifits and forum access?

Since we dont have a storefront to carry the major costs of hosting LN, in order to provide you with the best experience this site can offer, i am curious to see how much and if anyone would pay to subscribe to LN and all the extra benifits we have to offer.

please be honest.

cool, 36 reads and not a single response..
well that settles that i guess.

:edit: sorry for being pissy, i just expected a better response, or any for that matter.

so hypotheticly i guess only a few of us would miss LN if the plug was ever pulled.
bummer :(

I think I would be prepared to subscribe, but alot of it would depend on my financial situation at the time and the cost of subscription. I have already donated money, and would be prepared to again, but I just havent had enough money going through my account recently! Life is a bit tight at the moment! :(

Even as a moderator if I needed to pay a yearly fee that would be fine with me.

I think ive already decided on the charges and whats gonna go with them in terms of functionality.

LN's financial basis IS primarily sponsorship. Thats how its always been. Just now that the costs are up, its gonna have to become a more prominent part of the site.

I need to decide on all this and my future here so theres nothing thats really a question right now in terms of whats going to happen with the sponsorship. The question is whether or not Im going to be the one to run this site as a fully qualified business or not. And I need time to decide.

Well I donated a $25 spot in Jan. and would have no problem doing it again next Jan. even if it was a little more or less. I enjoy this site and would like to see it stick around.

it sounds like theres still a few things up in the air according to p0's post?

i have sponsered in the past (though i've been a bit slack recantly with the new house and stuff) and would of course be willing to again but i'm not sure its the best idea because it could potentially kill off new membership which is ultimatly what keeps a place like this alive.

people google for PC answers, we pop up and they get the answers and hopefully stick around. if that content is made private then it quite effectivly removes our new member base because people can get the information else where.

i must admit i don't have any better ideas though :(

It's LN's reason for existing that is currently in the air.

I had no intention on making any of this public yet. Dont really want to get in to a discussion, not sure why Steve posted this anyway but I'm going to close this for now. There's no point in debating an issue that relies solely on my personal commitment ;)
