DCS Back-Up, Taking Team Addition Requests!

I've turned DCS3 back on now with additional functionality that allows me to limit the number of teams supported. As of right now, only Team LiquidNinjas and Team EOC have been restored.

I have a limited amount of bandwidth available for use. Please post your request here. In order to qualify to use DCS your team must meet the following requirements:

1.) Your team MUST be computer or gaming related somehow.

2.) Your team must not have a massive amount of users. (Such as a HardOCP or something, I cant support that bandwidth).

2a.) You team must not have too few users. Medium teams work best.

3.) Team website must be located in North America. The international sites will more quickly use up my limited bandwidth.

4.) At least 10-20% of your active team MUST display the DCS sigs.

5.) Each user is still allowed a custom skin. These skins MUST display LiquidNinjas.com somewhere legibly.

6.) Donations are still not required, but will help to ensure the future continuation of this service. $10, $25, $50, any of it helps. And you dont have to just donate once.

6a.) Donations DONT mean I activate your team! Unfortunately, donations will not be enough to upgrade my bandwidth. I have to select teams based on the bandwidth requirements I estimate for that team

7.) If your team doesnt meet the above requirements, you may be able to arrange use of DCS through a paid-service kind of deal. This fee will be determined based on use and number of members in the team. Contact me before paying.

X.) Please remember that my hands are tied by the bandwidth. I do need to say no to some of you. Please dont take it personal, and understand that I am working on DCS4 that will allow you to freely use the software again. This will take me some time to do, but I promise it will be cool.

While I cannot speak for the other members of the team, I would be willing to make a donation if that means we can keep using your sig. Thanks!

We have a (slowly) growing team that has about 60 active members. I personally liked the originals, and we used them in the default skin.

I really dont have any choice. Even the few teams I have up now put significant stress on the server, plus Im still receiving thousands of requests from disabled team sigs. Even tho the sigs dont load for other teams, the stress of having all those requests still has a substantial impact on my server performance.

It needs a dedicated 1Mbit line with a static IP and a decent server box. Maybe Ill find one cheap somewhere.

I'd love to have a sig for my newly started team but understand the bandwidth issues. Are there instructions for making our own sigs and hosting them ourselves? Sadly, I'm a one person team at the moment but you never know!

You have to be in the top 1000 teams, Stanford limitations.

Hi guys. Okay, I added teams 35586, 12072, and 32 (watching this one, it may end up KILLING me its such a big site).

I'm sorry, but I decided against international teams for the time being. Please dont take it personal, its just that international traffic ties up the server more than domestic. I may add these teams later down the line once I measure the effects more closely.

Dont worry, DCS4 is coming soon which will allow everyone to use it. I just need more free time. The donations Ive gotten in have really been nice too. Its not enough to pay for added bandwidth, but its great that you guys show you care, and I'm saving up for another backup server drive.

Howdy! Team Sudhian (10688) here... we were up for a while and then back down again... hope that we didn't do anything to anger the DCS gods...

I just noticed that no one ever replied to your question about team number in the previous page, so if that's the difficulty, we're 10688. Hope that helps, and thanks again for re-activating us!

Our folding crew are the "off topic" folks, most of the threads in there are videogame/computer stuff. The main site is a site for the Toyota Supra. The RX7 guys are running your app, so I thought I've give it a shot.

Other than that we meet all the guidelines.

Hi, sorry guys. DCS is basically full right now. I dont have the 300G of bandwidth a month to support it. Im glad there were a lot of folks using it, but until LN moves to its new home, and DCS4 is completed, there wont be any more teams added.

Sorry, I wish I could, but my hands are tied honestly.
