My crappy computer does not have a agp slot so impicking up a regular PCI graphics card for it but i can figure ou twich one is better ATI- Radeon 9250 running at 256 mbs or GeForce FX 5500 running at 128mbs. There both for PCI (regular, not express) and they both seem to have its ups and downs

If I'm not mistaken, the 9250 probably doesn't have DX9 support. That'd take my vote.

If it's not out of your price range, you might also want to consider this one (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-140-041&depa=1).

PCI? Not much of a chance. The PCI cannot support the bandwidth and power requirements of high-end cards. I was surprised to find that 5700LE.

with the pc on, stick your tounge in the slot and see if you jump back 2x 4x or 8x.
quite simple really.
