PCStats delves into the new BTX form factor in their latest article discussing what the new form factor has to offer.
Overall, there's much to be optimistic about with BTX, but nothing that's going to warrant people rushing out and buying the products as soon as they appear. Wait a while; chances are BTX will come to you anyways.

Nothing like a spec that calls for 'cooling system components' by first funnelling air over a 100W CPU, nb, and maybe a little HDD heat.
Theres nothign wroing with the cooling design of an ATX system if the case has fans placed where theyre needed.
Frankily, I havent seen one motherboard that was ever 'standardized' to any other motherboard anyway.

I have a feeling that BTX is going to be another WTX. I agree there is no need to change the ATX form factor.

looks like bulls*** to me too ...the nicest innovations ive seen lately is the luan li with power supply at the bottom of the case and the silverstone tj6 (which is kinda btx i suppose) but either way ..theres no sense in developing a "new" standard fer mobos
