Connectivity Issues

Hi guys, just a reminder. LiquidNinjas.com has had DNS problems for a couple months now. I don't know why, and I have gotten very little help from anyone on this issue.

At times, depending on your ISP, you may not beable to connect to the site using our domain names (http://www.liquidninjas.com). You may use the following IP.

http://66.250.47.51/

This IP usually works even if the domain name doesn't. If you need to log in, do it from the forums page, NOT the front page, where it probably won't work.

If you have had problems connecting with the domain name, but can get in fine with the IP. Please post a reply on this thread, and also list your ISP. If I can log these problems and find out how widespread they are, it will help for me to figgure this issue out.

I run into slowdowns and the ocasional page cannot be displayed (more often on work's T1) but that's it.

I am having nightly DNS problems for about two hours.
It had stopped for a few days, but is now back.

My work IP is 10.199.96.112.
It is taking up to 5 minutes to load a page in LN right now. Time is 3:55 PM your time.

It has been rather slow all day, but has recently slowed WAY down.

I dont know what it is...at a hosting company, so it can be whatever F5 pays for. Probably multiple T backbones.

Man the site has been rediculously slow since yesterday. Takes almost a full minute for a page load, and I am on cable and I am having no problems with any other sites.

Was down again when I got home.
Both ISP and IP address access was unavailable.
Don't know when it started, but it just allowed me to get in by IP address only at 7:00 PM Pacific Time. Still can not get in with link.

It is 3:55 PM Pacific on Sunday, and the LN site link went down again.
I was in it and it went to the No DNS Server screen.

At least I am able, for the moment, to get in using the IP address.

If we keep documenting outages, we will have a VERY long thread, by the time it is over.

7:25 AM Pacific Time and site is VERY SLOW again.

It is going up and down more than the Stock Market.

Sure hope someone does get it fixed soon, it is a shame to have a provider and not have connectivity.

I don't think it's just us. I keep getting bad page loads (it won't or I get AFU images and stuff)

for the record my connection(s) to LN have been AOK for a month or so now but prior to that where so sloooooooowww it was unbelievable!!!!! Remeber 14.4 modems ? they seemed fast in comparison!!

cant even use anything belove 9600 ne more.. ive tried oldschool 2400 for connection to juno / aol (this was a while ago when juno was free email) and they wont even let you then.. LOL

i've been meesing about with embedded modems at work recantly and have had to connect at 2400 for testing purposes... do you know theres still old school bbs's running out there? crazy stuff...

i remember the old cradle type modems for tele-type you would call and get the analog noise and snap the handset in the cradle and start the system, i don't know how fast they were but it was around maybe 1977-78 and that was hi-tech at the time.
