Police do not need a search warrant to examine an employee's computer for incriminating files, a Washington state appeals court has ruled.

Wow. Not that its probably hard to get a Search Warrant anyway. And doesnt Patriot Act bypass a lot of that as well?
What about if you have a portable 80g drive on a USB cable that belongs to you ;)

I want to puke everytime I see my paycheck with SS Tax nearly as much as income tax. And then knowing that I'll be lucky to get 1/6th of that back when Im older!!

You really think you'll get that much back? I plan on getting nothing back. F'ing taxes.
But as for the search of a company computer, well if the company hates you and just gives them permission without a warrant, it is their right but seems the company is just throwing the Constitution out the window for you AND them.

dont bring it to work, its on work property therefore subject to search and seisure.
alot of company work pc's are leased by dell so dell wont get a subpoena even though they "own" them till they are paid off.
