Thats a real good price. My sister-in-law works parts time for Omaha steaks and I asked her what her discount on that package would be. She would only get $5 off that deal, which isn't much because usually they get anywhere from 50-70% off everything. She did say the knives and cutting board are junk but the deal is worth it. She also said if you print out the deal and take it to a Omaha Steaks kiosk that they should match the price. Going to my local Omaha right now to buy two. Thanks for the link.

Never was that much of a fan of their meat. It's good and all but I seem to do better in the local shops around me.

I dont think I ever tried omaha before. If I really want a killer steak I live close to both Peter Luger's ;) And you can buy their porterhouses to cook yourself.

Ive been told that NYC gets the best steak in the world, outside of maybe Kobe, so I dont want to hear any complaining Joe ;)

A friend of mine had his dad get him a Kobe steak for his birthday down in the city. I think he said it was $300 or something. Said it was the best steak he ever had hehe.

I cooked some of the steaks I got last night. They were pretty good. My wife had a Filet and I had a Flat Iron. The shop I went to last night only had one pack of Sirloins so he gave me some Flat Irons to try. They were very good. Better than Sirloin in my opinion. A lot less connective tissue and nice marbling. Also cooked some of the Augratin Potatoes. Pretty good. Needed salt. Interesting the way they cook. You put them from the freezer to the oven and they start as round balls but flaten out some as they heat up. Kinda like cookies do when you bake them.

If you've got the money, go for the Private Reserve Filet Mignon. One of the best steaks I've ever had and I cooked 6 of them over a campfire. Awesome Steak.

Yeah, I've had the kobe @ the old homestead and the raw kobe slices (just barely warmed) @ nobu. Good stuff. Theres a place down on william st that does a small kobe burger for $15, not too bad.

Still peter luger's steak can't be beat.

get 3 hungry people together and order steak for four medium rare. it's the s#$@%$#it
