On my sound card I have an AC3 adapter, I guess this i Digital, on my Amp I also have an AC3 adaptor, anyone know what the cable looks like to connect them them together. I would much prefer to have digital sound.

I cant find one in my box of goodies for love nor money.

nip down to your local dixons, or audio shop and get the cable from them.

only thing to make sure is that it has the correct connectors at either end. Either make a mental note, or draw them. As i dunno what sound card or amp you have this is the best option.

eith any luck, it should be a standard opitcal cable though.

enjoy :D

toodles :xsofa:

If the AC3 conector is located on the card, you have to get one cable with mini jack in the end and a RCA in the other end.If you have a live drive use the conector in front of the case, and get a RCA cable.Rca Cable works good on AC3 conectors. No problem.

Sorry, but i could see now, that you have a Live Drive II.It has an optical conector too.Check on your receiver/Amp if you have an optical input too.If the distance between the amp and the PC is short, then use a optical cable, if not, go to the RCA cable instead.RCA is cheap.

Yeah, I thought I could do it but I cant, the AMP does not have an optical connector, so a bought a normal RCA connector but spent a bit of money on it so it cuts out the interference.
