So I've been trying to unlock the lower multis on this Tbred 2400 sitting in an A7N8X-E Deluxe rev 2.0 . I had originally drawn the small C around the bridges as suggested, but it didn't seem to do anything. Last nite I pull it out, clean it off, and ran conductive ink straight across as I've read can be done. Got one boot, showing it to be an 1800 (which only meant it booted to safe mode 100Mhz FSB). Now I can't get anything back.. Mobo lights up, fans and drives whirr, but no display. Did I just hose another brand new setup?

I thought so too, unless this 2400 is superlocked, although I havent found anyone else whose had so many problems.

did you fill the 5th L3 pit with superglue or is it grounded out now by going straight across?
i hope thats not your problem:(

I didnt fill the pit, most info I read said it wasnt necessary and that the ground was ok. I can re-do it w/ glue though and try again since the 'round the bend' method didnt seem to take. What I'm wondering is why it decided to boot once, and not again?

Dont use glue, it will leave a 'mound'.

I recommend a crayon, and then scrap off the excess. gives you a flat surface.

That's a good idea. I'll give that a shot tonite and keep my fingers crossed.

Fingernail polish is another option :) but wipe away the excess before it dries!
