does anyone know of a proxy server for windows 2000 that allows you to use ICQ, yahoo, MSN and AIM through it???

if anyone has any sugestions, lemme know

yes,
but only certain http ports are enabled through it
ie, with msn messanger i can chat, but i cannot transerfiles.

it also works for just about every game i play

LOL im sorry
it is built into win2000 / 98 / xp pro
open up the network connection properties box for the connection you want to share... then click the sharing tab.. then click share this connection.
with 2000 pro you dont even have to restart

I've used/use many of the analogX progs. They do a pretty dang good job at what they do. Not too bad for free :D

No reason to use a 3rd party program now that Windows includes Internet Connection Sharing gateway.

the analogue x proxy is one that io use already, but you cant use ICQ through it :(

as for using internet connection sharing, i dunno if ti will work, cos we are on a dial up account from AOL, so i dont think it uses the normal dial up adpater.

Will have to have a play and find out

it does work with AOL, i used to share a dial up... not a fun proposition
