Easter Eggs

because i have nothing better to do at 3am est, does anyone (lee) know of any easter eggs in windblows XP? the one in excel was by far the best with the moonwalk schtick to see the developers names on te monolith, yea i get into the silly s**t, i fix copiers all day, this stuff is exciting to me (note to therapist, read latest post)so not a high priority thing, just if you have time ok?

XP Easter Eggs
You won't see any. I have been informed by a source inside Microsoft that Easter eggs have been forbidden. It is due to government regulations that don't allow "undocumented code" in programs used by government offices. Appears the government must be a big customer of Microsoft...

Hmmm...I haven't seen any either. Then again, I don't get around much in the OS very much. I'm a basic user you could say:)

I saw this today, it says it works in XP I have not try it,

This Windows 95 B/C OSR2.x, 98, 98 SE, ME, NT 3.5x/4.0, 2000 + XP Easter Egg is hidden into the 3D Pipes (OpenGL) Screen Saver, bundled with these Operating Systems.
The file SSPIPES.SCR is located in %windir%\System (Win9x/ME) and in %systemroot%\System32 (WinNT/ 2000/XP).
To activate the Egg, follow these steps EXACTLY:

Right-click on an empty spot on your Desktop.
Select Properties.
Select the Screen Saver tab.
Select "3D Pipes (OpenGL)" from the Screen Saver list.
Click the Settings button.
Select Multiple for Pipes.
Select Traditional for Pipe Style.
Select Mixed for Joint Type.
Select Solid for Surface Style.
Click OK.

Start/Preview the screen saver: some of the joints are now "teapot" shaped.

UPDATE: "Select Textured for Surface Style, but do NOT click Choose Texture (all other steps are identical), to get a candy cane effect on the pipes.
