What is the best Heatsink for overclocking a 939 3500+? Right now I'm leaning towards going with a TT Venus 12 ($30), does anyone else have this or any other s939 that they would recomend?

Planning on overclocking any ;)

I have a Zalman 7xxx series HSF, and it does a great job. My HD is louder than my HSF

I'd recommend anything Zalman, Thermalright or Swiftech.

i agree with drake. definatly dont go with any thermaltake products. almost all of the products are form over function, they are poorly made, and there customer support sucks.

:wtf:

The the Thermaltake Jungle 512 is the Maximum PC's Dream machine 2004 CPU cooler. Maximum PC regularly reviews Thermaltake products. To spite a complete lack of advertising in their magazine from Thermaltake(since I know so many of you will think that kind of thing should have some kind of effect). They are nearly always reviewed in a favorable light.

Nearly their entire new line of heat pipe CPU coolers is really quick kick :mad2::mad2::mad2: and not at all form over function.

First, I don't like your tone. Secondly, you are guessing wrong. I had a Thermaltake Dragon orb 3, back before I upgraded to a the Hedgehog W (http://www.kanie.jp/Hedgehog-typeW.pdf). It served my stock cooling needs perfectly. It was made of quality parts and looked great.

You are entitled to your opinions. Even if they seem to have little backing other than “they suck”. But I think the majority of the users of this forum would prefer well informed, well thought out responses to questions, not baseless hate mongering. :newbie:

i didnt mean to put out a bad tone. i know many people that have thermaltake products, me being one of them, and they all have had problems with them. for me, i had a thermaltake xaser III that i got as a gift. When i was in the process of putting the system together, the little plastic rails that you must use to munt andthing broke off and almost killed my hard drive. Secondly, my friend Alex recently bought a thermaltake fanless 103 cooler. in the middle of mounting it the retention mechanism that comes with it broke. on both accounts i tryed to contact thermaltake about these problems and both times i never received a email response.

Lets settle down guys :)

I'd go with a thermalright HSF, XP-90 as the XP-120's have problems fitting on some boards due to clearance issues.

I've heard good things about the new TT stuff, but havn't used one myself.

Everyone is welcome to their opinions, but if we can avoid the rants I'd be happy :)

Ive used lots of TT stuff without problem, although I like other products better. TT stuff is a bit noisier, although they have less loud things now too. They make good 1U coolers and the like.

Yeah if you buy JUST the waterblock (remember you need a pump, radiator, tubing, reservoir etc........)

And i would also reccommend anythin by Swiftech. My previous experience with their customer service was very good.

XP-90 with a good 80mm or 90mm fan wins in almost every instance. For MOST setups the XP-120 is just to big.

Currently I have the Arcitic-Cooling Freezer 64 on my new rig and it's working well for now anyway.

As for TT? They make a decent product but they are by far NOT the best.
