Well my current gaming rig:
Processor: XP2000+@1.908
Memory: 768 DDR 2700
VC: Ti4200@(307/590)
HL2 Recommended settings:
800x600
Everything HIGH but the water reflection at low settings.
Running at:
1024x768
Everything HIGH but the water reflection at low settings.
CS:Source Stress Test
Avg FPS: 62.8
Getting around 50 FPS Average but drops up to 8 FPS when bomb explodes or a grenade explodes and hits a lot of objects.
HL2 Source:
Getting around Average 50 FPS but on open areas 20 FPS.

Mmm, havent looked in to HL2 benching yet. How do you run these? HL2 is very CPU dependant, the slowdown on explosions is probably your XP2000+ screaming. Thats pretty good for a Ti4200...I'm surprised really.

At end of CS:S stress test, it gives me 70 fps running 1024x768 everything high except for AA/AT and it's set to Reflect World instead of All.
Processer- Athlon XP 2800+ stock
Video Card- Ati AiW 9600Pro @ 486core/365mem
Ram- 1gig PC 3200
Although I think Valve screwed something up with their latest patch as my computer lags down in CS Source and HL2 at about a constant 30 - 35 fps when it used to be 45 - 50. :camo:

Well, I am running it on my laptop at the moment because I think I may have fried my desktop chip, but thats a whole other post (when I get round to testing it).
Anyway, on the stress test I got 47.5 fps. 1024x768, reflect world, everything maxed, no AA/AT. And still using the original windows Nvidia drivers lol.. might have to update and see what happens ;)

Just installed the HL2 nvidia driver 67.02_win2kxp_english.exe
My new CS:Source Stress Test result, 67.02_win2kxp_english.exe
Avg FPS: 73.7
Before: 66.93_win2kxp_english.exe
CS:Source Stress Test
Avg FPS: 62.8
A 10.9 Fps increase only on driver. That's impressive.
