Hi Dave180,

First, let me :D WELCOME :D you to Liquid Ninjas.

Secondly, did you upgrade from an existing OS, or did the system come with XP, and is it Pro or Home Edition.

With these questions and the questions from MrP, we will get to the bottom of this with you.

Again Welcome and take care.........

dont worry about this.

rather than setting the FSB to 100, mother board maufactures have taken to upping the FSB er so slightly to 100.8 or 101 in order to get better readings when people review them and benchmark them.

it shouldnt affect your system at all.

bah,

i know i like women to go down on me, but microsoft web site going down on me this often is stupid!!!!!!!!

seriously,

try doing a search for "WER1.tmp.dir001sysdata.xml" at www.microsoft.com/technet and set it so that its searching on internet explorer 6 or media player.

i have tried it, but the site keps crashing on me. perhaps microsft should try running their sites on linux, they might last longer!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Dave,

I did the search and did not find anything.

Try to do a local search on your system, and see where the file is located.
That may give a clue as to what it is.

Take care.......

Came up with this, but i got the geforce 4, it did mention the geforce 4 once in one of the error reports, said need to change drivers, but tryed a few versions, still doing it tho

When you start your Windows XP-based computer after you install an ATI RADEON 64 MB DDR video adapter, the computer may continually shut down and then restart. You may receive an error report referencing the following files: C:\Windows\minidump\mini~0... .dmp" ...=unknown #'s C:\documents~1\defaut\locals~1\temp\wer3d.tmp.dir0 0\sysdata.xml
CAUSE
This behavior may occur if the driver installed for the video adapter is the incorrect version.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, install build 6.13.3276 of the Windows XP display driver for the ATI RADEON 64 MB DDR video adapter, which is available for download from the following ATI

Hi Dave,

Uninstall the driver and reinstall using the XP on board stock driver.

Let's see if the stock driver will correct the issue.

If so, then we will find the correct driver and install it.

Take care.....

Hi Dave,

C:\Windows\System32\Drivers is where it is located..

Uninstall the existing driver and let the system find the correct driver.
Do not pick the existing driver.

Take care.....

PS..Do you have the driver disk that came with the vid card? The correct drivers should be there. If not go to their website and download the XP drivers. Sometimes, the XP drivers are not provided by the OEM, as it is cheaper to download them as opposed to making new CD's.
