I have a logitech mouse with the little light up logo in the front. Well today I started to toss together a box and I put the mouse on it. I noticed that it lights up even with the computer on. It did not do that on the computer it was in before. I unpluged the box from the outlet and the little light on the mouse was still on. Does the PS hold some juice (new ps) or is the mouse getting it's power form the bios battery or something?

Depends on how long it stays on. I have LED's on some of my boards and I've had to pull the plug while hot more than a few times (you know fire, things like that :D ) and some PSU's hold a charge longer than others. I'm talking seconds here so If the mouse lights up for hours on end it might be radioactive.

I know you're in the navy. You don't work on a boomer do you? You post too often to be on a Sub. ;)

I have never tried to time it. I will do so right now. I just turned off the computer and will wait to see when it goes off.
But I am worried, any chance it could be draining the bios battery?

Darn ps does not have a on/off switch in the back.

No I am not on a sub, I work on the USNS Mercy or ( USNS Lord Have Mercy) as some of us have started to call it.
It's a big hospital ship.

I unplugged ps from mobo, light on mouse went out, plug ps back into mobo, light comes back on. Computer is unplugged from the wall outlet by the way.
Whoa light went out !!! only on for 5-6 min. Should I be worried?
PS is a SH model SH-300w "switching" power supply. Not sure what the "switching" is.
