pretty cool also for people who have pirated it too. i really dont see the reason why though. i could care less what the disks look like. i just load the play disk using alcohol 120% and never see the cd's again

The reason for it is to back up those of us that d/l the game via steam. The game is stored on your harddrive. Sure we can always re-download the game but that will take over 8hrs. Easier and more reliable to burn the game files to DVD for safe keeping and easy, quick access.
